I am developing an app that connects travelling people with real locals. As i travel a lot for work, i always miss someone in places i go to that i know and that i can ask for advice and where to go and what to do. And that gave me the idea really, i have been coding and developing this app for 7 months now, i actually used it for my cs50 final project ^^ Anywho, the idea in my head is that when someone travels to a place, they can publish that trip in the app, and locals can apply as guides. One traveller, one guide. Once two people have connected and committed they can chat (yes i know it sounds like tinder i’ve heard that before, i honestly don’t know how to deal with that for now, please just bare with me 🥲), and travellers can ask for tips, places to go eat, activities, all the stuff that a tourist often never have the opportunity to discover because lets be honest, most sites and co always show the same tourist filled places, and i never liked that. This way i hope it opens a new way for people to discover places, guided by a real person that actually lives there. I would MASSIVELY appreciate it, if you could share your opinions and thoughts, this is huge for me as i have been developing everything by myself, and i have never done anything like this. So please… just be kind. Any feedback is appreciated. Should you choose to check out the app, which for now is just a web app that you shall add to the home screen so that the phone treats it as an app, in your profile there is a feedback button, that sends what you share directly to me. The reason i haven’t published a proper app store app is.. well.. money. I can’t afford to pay everything that is needed to do that for now. Also i first would like to know if the travel community likes it in the first place. This is literally just me sharing my work, no ai text, no bs. I’d gladly appreciate any kind of sharing and support, i realise the app only has a sense if there are a lot of people using it, otherwise there is no guide for no traveller ^^ I humbly thank you all in advance! *Taps hat

You In Town was hunted by Fernando Schwarz.
