Yella
5 seconds. Your language. The whole world understands.
Yella is an iOS app where you tap once, talk for 5 seconds in your own language, and somebody on the other side of the planet understands every word. They hear your actual recording, the subtitles carry the meaning, 19 languages both ways. No profile, no followers, no feed. Rated 18+.
Yella started with a simple question: what if you could say something to the whole world without a profile, without followers, and without waiting for a reply?
You tap once. You talk for 5 seconds in whatever language you speak. Your voice goes out to people everywhere, and they understand it: they hear your actual recording and the subtitles carry the meaning, 19 languages both ways. No profile, no followers, no feed, nobody to perform for. That turns out to be freeing.
You record once and then you get to watch the world play it back. Most are people saying good morning, singing a line, or telling the world one thing about their day.
Things people tell us they use it for: falling asleep to voices from other countries, practising a new language, hearing accents they have never heard, and just saying hi.
It is rated 18+ and every message goes through moderation before anyone hears it.
I would love to hear what you would say in 5 seconds. Try it and tell me what you recorded.

Who hunted Yella?
Yella was hunted by Nikolay Gutorov. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
