Hey Product Hunt! I'm Maurice, and I built YAPZ for the little moments with friends that deserve a better game.
Waiting for food at a restaurant. Hanging out between plans. A weekend away with a group of friends. I've been playing YAPZ in exactly those situations, and that's where the idea makes the most sense: a quick round, a ridiculous answer, and everyone laughing together.
On a recent weekend with friends, we played the Live games on our own phones. Everyone could join in, the rounds were short, and we could squeeze in a game whenever we had a few minutes. That's the experience I wanted to build.
YAPZ now has 32 party games:
• 16 shared-phone games that also work offline.
• 16 Live games where everyone plays on their own phone, joining by QR or room code.
• Impostor-style bluffing in Find the Liar, charades, trivia, drawing chains, secret votes and quick group challenges.
• A shared leaderboard for when 'just one round' turns into a whole evening.
I believe new technology can help us make games that bring people real joy. For me, the best part isn't what's happening on the screen. It's the reactions around the table.
YAPZ is available on iOS and Android, free to try, with optional Party Pass premium content. No player accounts needed; Live games require internet.
