Hi Product Hunt! 👋
I'm Zhibai Li, an independent designer and the creator of YAO.
I built YAO because traditional Chinese Four Pillars (BaZi) can be fascinating, but the charts and terminology are often difficult to understand for people who don't read Chinese.
I wanted to make the experience more accessible without losing sight of the traditional calculation methods or pretending that symbolic interpretations are scientific predictions.
YAO includes:
- A free BaZi chart with Day Master, Ten Gods, Hidden Stems, and Luck Pillars.
- Clear explanations of birth-time and calculation choices.
- A free I Ching oracle.
- An optional $19 one-time Personal Reading, with complete examples available before purchase.
I'd especially love feedback from people trying BaZi for the first time.
What feels confusing: entering your birth details, understanding the chart, or interpreting the results?
Thanks for checking out YAO!
