The idea came from watching people I know struggle with job searching tools that were never built for them.
Friends in Casablanca sending the same CV to every job in Dubai. Colleagues in Cairo who speak three languages but can't find a tool that understands Arabic job descriptions. Professionals across the Gulf who know their experience is strong but keep getting no responses and have no idea why.
Every AI career tool I looked at was built for the US market, assumed English, and had no awareness of how hiring actually works in MENA. Gulf CVs follow different conventions. Arabic ATS keywords are entirely different from English ones. The biggest job platforms in the region, Bayt, Wuzzuf, Naukrigulf, are invisible to every Western tool. And nobody was building anything about it.
So I built Yalliq.
The name carries three meanings in one word. يلا (yalla) means let's go. يليق (yaleeq) means it fits you, it suits you. And the classical Arabic -iq ending gives it weight and authority. The name is the product promise.
The build process was intense. I designed the brand, built five AI-powered Edge Functions in Supabase, wired a full Lovable frontend, integrated Lemon Squeezy for payments, and shipped the entire product as a solo founder in under eight weeks. The CV parser, fit scorer, resume tailor, cover letter generator, and application tracker all run on Claude via the Anthropic API with Arabic and English support throughout.
The hardest problem was preventing the AI from hallucinating experience the user does not have. The resume tailor kept inflating years of experience to match job requirements. The fix was moving the anti-hallucination rules to the very top of the system prompt in capitals, adding post-response validation, and being explicit that the tool only improves presentation, never invents facts. That constraint is now built into the brand promise.
Yalliq is for every Arab professional who deserves a job that يليق بك. Try it at yalliq.com.

Who hunted Yalliq?
Yalliq was hunted by Adil Dahmani. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
