Xu
A lightweight side panel for tabs, sessions & state
A lightweight side panel for managing browser tabs, sessions, and bookmarks. Xu lets you search and organize your current tabs, restore previous sessions, and view bookmarks in a clean tree for fast access. It focuses on fast, structured browsing without changing how your browser works.
I built Xu because my browser workflow started to break as I ended up with too many tabs while working.
Tabs and bookmarks worked fine for light usage, but when things got more complex, switching between horizontal tabs, vertical tab modes, bookmarks, and history felt fragmented and inefficient.
Xu is a lightweight side panel that appears when you need it, helping you manage tabs, sessions, and browsing state without changing how your browser normally works.
It’s not meant to replace your existing tab setup, but to extend it when you’re dealing with heavier browsing sessions.
Curious how others handle tab overload in real workflows. Would love to hear your approach.
