Hey everyone, I built XTINCT after noticing how quickly AI features started showing up across the web by default. Things like AI overviews in search, embedded chat assistants, and generated labels are becoming part of the browsing experience whether you want them or not. As someone who works in AI, I am not against these tools at all. I use them daily and think they are incredibly powerful when applied intentionally. The issue I kept running into was the lack of control. It felt less like “using AI” and more like AI being inserted into interfaces everywhere. XTINCT is a simple browser extension that removes AI-related UI elements so you can browse a cleaner version of the web. Think of it like a filter layer for AI clutter in interfaces. Still early and actively improving it, so I would really appreciate any feedback, especially from people working in UX, browsers, or AI tooling.
