Honest story: I'm a xiangqi player, and every time an international friend asked "what's that chess variant you play?", I had no good link to send. Chinese apps assume you read Chinese; English sites were mostly dated or paywalled.
So we built XIANGQI KNIGHT — a free, no-signup xiangqi site in English and Chinese, with a real AI engine (five levels, the top one will genuinely punish your blunders), one-click friend matches via a shareable link, and 259 machine-verified endgame puzzles.
It's a PWA, so it installs like an app and even works offline. No ads, no premium tier — just the game.
What I'd love feedback on:
1. The onboarding — can a total xiangqi newcomer understand the piece moves?
2. AI difficulty curve — is Master/Grandmaster beatable for a decent club player?
3. Anything broken on your device/browser?
