hey product hunt
i watched an agent curl an x post url and get back a few hundred kb of markup, a nonce, and "javascript is not available". zero post text.
so, x.md. same path, different host:

markdown comes back. threads numbered in order by default, quote posts nested inline where they actually sit, images and video as links instead of vanishing into a player, x articles with headings and lists intact. add ?format=obsidian and you get frontmatter with author, date and source, ready for the vault.
it also does profiles, search and followers/following. /elonmusk gives you the last 20 originals with replies and reposts filtered out. everything comes back as text/markdown, so curl ... > post.md is the whole workflow. there's json too if your tool wants structure.
the part that still gets me: x ships a real api with keys and tiers and quotas, and the thing agents actually needed was a url you can curl. no account, no key, nothing to sign up for.
mit on github, self-host on vercel, point your own domain at it.
