Per-app volume, outputs and effects for Mac, from the menu bar. Turn one app down, send it to other speakers, and make your volume keys work on every output.
Hi Product Hunt, I'm the developer of WormaSounds.
I wanted to turn Slack down without touching Spotify, send music to the speakers while calls stay in my headphones, and put an EQ on Zoom. The existing options were either a driver install or $49, so I built one on the new Core Audio process taps in macOS 26: no driver, nothing in the kernel.
What you get:
- Per-app volume, mute and timed mute (free, forever)
- Per-app output routing and Volume Overdrive above 100%
- 10-band EQ, Headphone EQ, Magic Boost, Balance and any Audio Unit you own
- Quick Configs to switch whole setups, Output Groups to play to several devices
- Super Volume Keys for HDMI and other outputs the volume keys can't reach
- Shortcuts app actions and global shortcuts
The trial is 30 days with every feature, no account, no email, no card. After that it stays free for per-app volume, mute, favorites and device control. The full version is $15 one-time for 5 Macs with all future updates, and $8 through December 17.
Download at sounds.worma.dev or brew install --cask wormasounds/tap/wormasounds. I'll be here all day, ask me anything.
