We've rebuilt the way hiring works. Hiring still runs on self-claims. A CV says whatever someone types into it, and the recruiter has to take it on faith, so candidates send out a hundred applications and hear nothing back. On WorkID you verify your identity and work experience. Companies see a profile that has been checked, not a list of claims, and the vetting is done before the first screening. We then match you to the roles you actually fit. Free to start. For hiring globally.
Hi everyone, Thor here, founder of WorkID.
I've spent 25+ years in tech hiring. For most of that time the process was inefficient but basically honest. CVs were exaggerated, references were vague, and you sorted it out in conversation.
The last two years broke that. AI made it free to apply everywhere, and free to be whoever you like on paper. A recruiter now opens a pipeline of 300 applications, most of them generated, some of them from people who don't exist. Gartner expects one in four candidate profiles to be fake by 2028.
What bothers me most isn't the fraud itself. It's what it does to the honest candidates. When a recruiter can't tell who is real, they stop reading carefully and start filtering brutally, and good people disappear into the pile without even getting a rejection.
So we built the opposite of a CV. On WorkID you verify your identity and professional background. A company opens a profile that has already been checked, with a Trust Score they can search and filter by. The candidate proves things once, instead of starting from zero in every process.
We're live globally and are free to start.
The question I'd genuinely like your view on: would a verified profile ever be enough for you to skip the first screening call? That's the trade we're asking recruiters to make, and I'm not sure yet where the line sits.
The screenshot shows candidates with a score out of 100 - what's actually feeding that number? If it's still built on self-reported resume data plus some cross-checking, that's not really solving the trust problem, just adding a confidence label on top of the same self-claims. Genuinely curious what the verification step involves.
