WM AI Editor
AI-directed video editing, rendered on your computer
WM AI Editor turns raw footage and a plain-language brief into an editable first cut. It transcribes and analyzes media locally, uses AI to create a structured edit plan, and renders the final MP4 on your Windows PC or Mac. Includes a full timeline, subtitles, B-roll, music, transitions, face tracking, autocrop, 10 templates plus Auto, and a perpetual $50 licence.
Hi Product Hunt — I’m Alexandr from WeMAIde.
We built WM AI Editor around a simple question: what should AI actually do inside a video editor?
Uploading every source file to a cloud model felt wasteful. Asking a model to return a finished, flattened video also removed the creator’s ability to correct individual decisions.
Our answer was to make AI the director rather than the rendering engine.
You import one or several clips, choose 9:16 or 16:9, and describe the video you want in ordinary language. The application transcribes and analyzes the material locally, then sends the brief, transcript, timecodes, scenes and compact technical context to the AI. It returns a structured first-cut plan.
The actual media work remains on the computer: cuts, reframing, subtitles, music, transitions, sound effects and MP4 rendering. Full source videos are not sent to the model. Optional reduced key frames are used only with separate permission.
Most importantly, the AI result opens as a normal editable timeline. If it chooses the wrong take, crops the wrong part of the frame or removes an important pause, you can fix that decision without regenerating the whole video.
The current release includes:
• Windows and macOS versions
• Auto mode and 10 editing templates
• Local English, Russian and Spanish transcription
• Editable subtitles and transcript-based cuts
• B-roll, music, transitions and sound effects
• Face tracking and automatic 9:16/16:9 reframing
• Local H.264/AAC export with GPU acceleration and CPU fallback
WM AI Editor costs $50 for a perpetual licence to the purchased version. There is no subscription.
We would especially value feedback on two things:
1. Which part of your first edit consumes the most time: reviewing footage, choosing moments, subtitles, reframing or finishing?
2. Where should an AI editor stop automating and hand control back to the creator?
Our product principle is: AI should prepare the first cut. The creator should keep the final decision.
Thank you for taking a look.
