I kept losing things that were decided out loud. The decision happens in a call, someone writes notes nobody reopens, and three months later nobody can find why you chose what you chose.
Every tool I tried solved it by uploading my meetings to their servers. Meeting recordings are among the most sensitive data a company has, and renting access back to my own conversations felt backwards.
So Wisprnote runs on your Mac. It captures your mic and your system audio — it hears what you hear. Nothing joins the call, nothing shows up in the participant list, and it works the same in Zoom, Meet and Teams because it doesn't integrate with any of them.
The part I'm most excited about: there's an MCP server built in. Claude and Cursor can read your meeting knowledge base directly, so your AI tools finally have your company's context instead of just your code.
Being straight about what it is today:
→ macOS only
→ transcription and LLM calls go to providers you configure with your own keys. Local capture, not local inference
→ AGPL-3.0, self-host the whole stack
