I built WiredIN because every app blocker I tried was all-or-nothing — you either block everything and can't use your phone, or you block nothing and keep doom-scrolling. Neither worked for me.
So I built blocking around context instead.
Focus Zones automatically block distracting apps and sites based on where you are — the second I sit at my desk, Instagram and the usual time-sinks are gone, then they come back when I leave. Night Shield does the same at bedtime so I actually put the phone down.
The other thing I cared about: no streaks, no points, no gamification. Those turn into another thing to obsess over. WiredIN just gets out of the way and lets the outcome — actual focused time — be the reward. It's intentionally calm and minimal, and it uses Apple's Screen Time so blocking is genuinely hard to bypass.
It's live on the App Store today and I'd genuinely love your feedback — especially: what's the one distraction you most wish would just disappear when you're trying to work? 🙏
Why it's built this way:
- Opens with the personal frustration — PH readers reward a real "I built this because…" story over a feature list.
- The middle is the differentiator (context-based blocking + no gamification) — same message as your tagline/description, so the whole launch is consistent.
- Ends with a question — this is what actually gets comments, which is the entire point of the first comment. A launch with an active thread ranks better.
- I kept it to Focus Zones, Night Shield, and Screen Time — the features I'm confident are in your shipped build. I deliberately left crew sessions out of the comment (even though it's in the description) so you're not staking your personal maker story on something unverified.
