whisperbridge
Live voice translation, sounds like the other person
👋 Hi Product Hunt,
I built WhisperBridge because the person I talk to most doesn't share my first language.
Every translation app made conversations feel painfully stop-start. One person talks, waits, the app translates, then the other person responds. It never felt like an actual conversation.
So I started building something different.
With WhisperBridge:
• Two people join a browser call
• Each speaks their own language
• Each hears the other translated live
• The translated speech uses a cloned version of the speaker's voice
The goal isn't perfect translation.
The goal is preserving the feeling that you're talking to a person, not an app.
It's still a scrappy beta and I'm actively looking for honest feedback.
What I'm most interested in:
Does the translated voice still feel like the person?
Is the delay short enough for a natural conversation?
What feels awkward, confusing, or broken?
If anyone wants to test it but doesn't have a language partner available, I'm happy to jump in as the second person myself.
I'd love to hear what you think.
