A private nutrition and training tracker for iPhone. Scan a barcode, log meals, plan workouts, and follow it all on your wrist with the Apple Watch app and two-way Apple Health sync. No account, no servers — your data stays on your phone and syncs only to your own devices via iCloud. Buy it once, own it for life. And it adapts: miss a week and it recalculates what your body is really doing, then adjusts your targets so one bad week doesn't end the plan.
I've never been particularly out of shape, but I wasn't eating well, and more importantly I wasn't looking after my body properly. So I built the tracker I actually wanted.
Whey to Go is local-first, so there's no account, and your food diary never leaves your phone. You buy it once — £49.99 for life, against £150–£300 over five years for the big names. I've been using it every day of the year I've spent building it, so it's shaped around a real training habit rather than a spec sheet.
The part I'm most pleased with is that it adapts. Miss a week and it doesn't just show you a broken streak, it recalculates what your body is actually doing from your real data and adjusts the target to get you back on track. Because everyone slips. We're all human.
I've been honest about where competitors beat us on the comparison pages, so have a look at those too.
What I'd love feedback on: is one-off pricing something you'd actually choose over a subscription, or does "no subscription" make you worry it won't be maintained? If that is the case, what would reassure you that I plan to continue development?
The no-account, buy-once approach is exactly what I've been looking for. One thing I'd love to see is a quick way to log water intake right from the Watch app, maybe with a complication on the main screen so it's just one tap to add a glass during a workout.
Honestly love that it adapts when you miss a week, most trackers just guilt trip you. The Apple Watch sync sounds super smooth too.
Love the simplicity of the app and how it's an "all in one" for nutrition, hydration and workouts. I'm about to start training for a marathon and will have to make sure I'm hitting all macros (and all runs :D), so excited to give this a try!
To your question on pricing: For productivity trackers (I'm including this in the category, even if it's not a 100% match) I am usually fine with a one time lifetime fee as the core offering will stay consistent over time. You may want to consider some location based pricing adjustments (the Big Mac index can be a good reference)
