What the Fetch is a network agent in your browser for debugging web apps. Record requests and console output, ask AI what failed, and follow citations to the evidence. Export HAR, cURL and recordings. Try limited included AI or connect your own provider.
Hi Product Hunt, I'm Harsh, the maker of What the Fetch.
An API request fails. The network tab has a status code, the console has an error, and you're piecing together what happened.
What the Fetch keeps that investigation next to the page.
Choose a tab, hit Record, and reproduce the bug. You can inspect the requests and console output yourself, or ask AI a question about the recording. Its request citations let you open the evidence and check the explanation.
The gallery follows a small checkout example: a request returns 422, and the response says `ADDRESS_MISSING`. You can go from the explanation to the request, read the response, and copy it as cURL. That is the kind of concrete trail I want the product to give you.
A few details that matter:
- Recording, inspection and exports work without an AI key.
- There is limited included AI, or you can connect your own provider.
- Recordings stay in your browser unless you save or export them. AI investigations share selected evidence with the provider after consent.
- By default, the agent asks before actions such as running JavaScript or replaying a request.
You can export HAR, Postman collections, Markdown reports and portable `.wtf` recordings when it's time to hand the issue over.
This is an early release, and I would love feedback!
— Harsh
