WeldStack
Welding compliance software: WPS, WPQR and welder certs
WeldStack keeps welding documentation audit-ready: welding procedure specifications (WPS) to ISO 15609-1, procedure qualification records (WPQR), welder certificates with expiry alerts, equipment and inspections. An AI scanner reads certificates and material datasheets, so nobody retypes them. PDF export in English, Polish and German. Android app for offline inspections with voice input. Built for ISO 3834 / EN 1090 shops that still run on spreadsheets and paper binders.
Hi Product Hunt 👋
I'm a welding engineer, not a software company. I built the first version of WeldStack
for exactly one user: me.
Some context if you've never worked in fabrication. Any company welding structural steel
to EN 1090 or ISO 3834 has to keep a pile of documentation current — welding procedure
specifications, qualified procedures, welder certificates with expiry dates, equipment
records, inspection reports. It is not optional. An auditor can ask for any of it, and
"give me a week to find it" is not an answer.
I kept mine the way almost everyone does: Excel files and a ring binder.
What actually surprised me was how many other welding engineers are still doing the same
thing in 2026. Not just small workshops — companies supplying serious projects, tracking
welder qualification expiry dates in one spreadsheet that a single person maintains and
nobody else fully understands. When that person is on holiday, the company genuinely does
not know which of its welders are still certified.
So it became a product: WPS builder that follows ISO 15609-1, WPQR and welder
qualification registries, equipment and inspections, PDFs in Polish, German and English
from the same data, and an Android app that works offline on the shop floor and scans
paper certificates instead of retyping them.
If you work in welding, fabrication or QA — I'd really like to know what your current
setup is. Especially if it's still a binder. Mine was.
