WebVox is an open-source Android app that turns web pages into a clean reader mode and reads them aloud using Android text-to-speech. Share articles directly from your browser, listen in the background, use lock-screen controls, and continue where you left off. Built for people who want a calmer, privacy-friendly way to consume articles, blogs, and long-form web content without subscriptions or clutter.

Top comment

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built WebVox because I wanted a simpler and calmer way to listen to web articles on Android. A lot of existing read-aloud apps felt overloaded with subscriptions, AI features, accounts, or cluttered interfaces. I mainly wanted something lightweight that could open an article, clean it up into reader mode, and let me listen in the background while commuting or walking. WebVox is open-source, privacy-friendly, and built around Android’s native text-to-speech system. I’d especially love feedback on: • reader mode quality • playback experience • article extraction • features you’d want next Thanks for checking it out 🙌
