WebProjectList
Showcase projects and discover websites from the community.
I’ve been building small projects for a while, and I kept running into the same issue: launch day brings a burst of attention, then things quickly fade. Some directories still send steady traffic over time, but most platforms feel either too broad or too expensive for side projects.
So I decided to build something more focused.
It’s a directory made specifically for websites and digital projects, designed with indie builders in mind. The idea is simple: you can list your project for free, as long as you include a reciprocal backlink. No hidden pricing, no paywall—just a clear exchange that keeps the platform sustainable.
This is still very early, and I’m not trying to compete with platforms like Product Hunt or promise big traffic spikes. Instead, the goal is to create a lightweight discovery layer that keeps projects visible beyond launch day.
I’d genuinely appreciate your feedback:
Does the free + backlink model feel reasonable?
What would convince you to submit your project?
Is anything unclear or confusing when you first land on the site?
Also happy to discuss the technical side (Django, automated backlink verification) or the product decisions behind it.
Thanks for checking it out.

Who hunted WebProjectList?
WebProjectList was hunted by Tou Toulliou. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
