Wearform exists because of a small absurdity: wardrobe apps ask you to photograph every item you own, then show your outfits as floating cutouts on a white grid. The ones I tried never drew a body. But whether an outfit works is mostly a question about YOUR body — proportion, silhouette, colour against the day you're actually having.
So the core of Wearform is a 2.5D mannequin you shape with sliders: height, shoulders, hips, body type. The same measurements that draw the figure also place each garment, so tops sit on your shoulders and hems fall roughly where they'd fall on you. It's a croquis, not a deepfake — deliberately. It answers "do these proportions work on me?" without pretending to be a mirror.
The second thing I refused to compromise on is privacy. Background removal runs entirely on-device, there's no account, no sign-up, no tracking SDK, and there is no Wearform server at all — your original photo is never sent to me. If you're signed into iCloud, the garment image the app saved — the cutout, or the photo itself when background removal can't find a clear subject — syncs through your own private CloudKit database, which Apple states a developer can't view in the developer portal. That's an architecture decision, not a marketing line.
Also in there: outfit suggestions that explain themselves (colour, occasion, formality and temperature, each shown as a plain reason chip — a rule-based ranker, not a model), cost-per-wear tracking, and filters for colour, season, occasion and never-worn.
Free to use — cataloguing, the mannequin, cost-per-wear, and one outfit suggestion at a time. Wearform Pro (monthly, yearly, or a one-time Lifetime purchase) unlocks every ranked suggestion and lets you assign looks to days in the planner, and it keeps one indie's lights on. No ads either way.
