Waychime started from a simple problem in everyday commuting: when you are on a train, tram, or bus, your travel time can be valuable. You might want to take a nap, focus on reading, listen to music, or relax — but part of your attention is still watching for your stop.
So I built Waychime: a calm destination alarm. Instead of setting an alarm by time, you choose your destination, select how early you want to be reminded, and Waychime alerts you as you approach your stop.
I wanted it to feel focused and practical — no account required, no unnecessary complexity, just one useful job: helping you make better use of your travel time without worrying about missing your destination.
