I’m Volker, the indie maker behind WanderSpend.
The idea started while planning my family trip last year. I was looking for a travel app that felt calm, private and useful before, during and after a trip — but many tools I tried felt either too focused on paywalls, ads, social sharing or only one narrow part of the journey.
So I started building WanderSpend: a private travel space for trip maps, timelines, places, documents, notes, travel budgets, shared expenses and memories.
No ads.
No subscriptions.
Privacy-first.
I’ve been building it for about a year after my 9–5 job, and it’s now live for iOS and Android. The user base is still tiny, but the people who discover it often create real trips and use it during actual travel — which has been incredibly motivating.
