What inspired this: I kept finding gift cards months after they'd expired. A gift card here received from office, a return credit there, an eGift buried in an old email. None of it was ever a lot of money on its own, but it added up, and it bothered me that value I'd already paid for was just sitting there unused because I'd forgotten where I put it.
I looked at what was out there and most of it either only handled gift cards specifically, charged a subscription for basic tracking, or wasn't on both iOS and Android. So I built Wallyo to handle anything closed loop, gift cards, prepaid cards, store credit, claim codes, keep it free, and keep the actual card numbers encrypted on the phone instead of trusting a server with them.
Would love feedback, especially from anyone who has tried a similar app before and hit a wall somewhere.
