Hey everyone 👋 I built Wajed because I kept running into a problem: I care about people, but I don’t always remember the details. Not the big obvious things, the smaller things. What someone was worried about last time we talked. The story they told me over dinner. Their name I'm scared to mispronounce again. The thing I promised myself I’d ask about next time. Notes apps are too flat for this. Journals are usually centered around *me*. CRMs are cold and transactional. Wajed is built around people. You add someone, then build their profile over time with memories: calls, dinners, conversations, moments, follow-ups, little things worth keeping. Each person gets their own timeline, and those memories show up in a feed, so your relationship history becomes something you can actually revisit. The part I’m most excited about is using Wajed *before* seeing people. Create an event, add attendees, review their profiles, read past memories, check your prep list, then show up confident instead of arriving cold. After the event, journal how it went and keep the story going. Wajed also helps with the quieter parts of staying close: You can set a rhythm for how often you want to keep in touch with someone, and the app can gently surface people who may be drifting out of view. The reconnect row gives you a quick visual sense of who might need attention soon, without turning it into a scary productivity dashboard. For important dates, you can add anniversaries to a person’s profile so they are not just floating around in your head, and get reminded every time. For names you want to say properly, you can record the pronunciation and come back to it before you meet. You can also connect two people in Wajed — siblings, partners, coworkers, friends — and the relationship shows up on both profiles, so you can remember who belongs in each person’s orbit. The goal is not to “manage” relationships. It’s to remember people better. Wajed is local-first: no account, no cloud, everything stays on your phone.
