I'm the solo maker behind Waito.
It started with a dumb little habit I couldn't shake: after ordering something online, I'd open the courier app over and over just to check "where's my package now?" — then close it ten seconds later. That tiny anxious loop felt like something my phone should just show me, without the digging.
So Waito is built around one idea: your delivery should live in a place you already glance at 100 times a day. On iPhone, that's the Dynamic Island. Waito parks a little pixel-art truck up there that moves along your package's progress — glance down, see the truck, done. No app to open.
The fun rabbit hole: I wanted that truck to feel alive. I spent way too long trying to make it "drive" on its own inside the Live Activity… only to learn iOS basically ignores continuous animation in widgets. Three different hacks, all dead ends. So I leaned the other way — the truck reacts to real delivery events, and you can fully customize it: heads, bodies, wheels, 40,000+ combos, everything from trucks to tanks to dinosaurs 🦖. Completed deliveries earn points to unlock new parts. Somehow, waiting for a package became kind of fun.
Waito is free, with an optional Plus tier. It currently supports Korean couriers, with more on the way.

Finally someone made tracking packages actually fun. The pixel truck crawling across the dynamic island while I use other apps is such a small detail but it genuinely makes me look forward to checking deliveries.
