Vysio
Native iPad workspace for VS Code, Codespaces & code-server
Vysio turns your iPad into a desktop-class developer workstation. Run VS Code, GitHub Codespaces, and code-server with full keyboard shortcut passthrough, zero browser chrome, keep-alive session locks, and Face ID security.
Hey! 👋
I’m Pierre, creator of Vysio (https://vysio.app).
I love traveling with just an iPad Pro and a Magic Keyboard, but whenever I tried to get real coding done using mobile Safari or Chrome, I kept hitting frustrating roadblocks:
• Keyboard shortcuts hijacked by iOS (Cmd+W closing tabs, Cmd+P trying to print the page).
• Address bars and Safari tabs eating valuable screen real estate.
• iPadOS putting WebSockets to sleep mid-build or mid-debugging session.
• Frequent cookie/token evictions forcing repeated logins.
I built Vysio to fix this and give iPad power users a true desktop-class development client.
✨ Key Features:
• Full Keyboard Passthrough: Remapped Cmd+W, Cmd+P, Cmd+Shift+P, and Esc keys that talk directly to your remote IDE instead of iOS.
• Native Fullscreen Workspace: Distraction-free interface with zero browser overlays.
• Screen Wake-Lock: Keeps background container and SSH connections active during long tasks.
• Direct Security: Connects directly via GitHub PKCE OAuth with local Apple Keychain encryption secured by Face ID / Touch ID (no middleman servers).
• Codespaces Dashboard: Spin up, stop, or manage your GitHub Codespaces directly from a native dashboard.
I’d love to hear your feedback, feature requests, or thoughts on coding on mobile devices!

Been waiting for something that makes coding on the iPad feel less like a workaround. The keyboard shortcut passthrough actually works, which surprised me, and the keep-alive session lock saved me from re-auth hell after a coffee break. Solid work.

Who hunted Vysio?
Vysio was hunted by Pierre Perrin. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
