Visual Translate by Vozo

Translate text in your videos without recreating visuals

Fully translated videos — finally. Visual Translate adds the final layer — translating text inside videos — on top of voice dubbing, lip-sync, and subtitles. It detects and translates on-screen text, from slides and diagrams to callouts and labels, while preserving the original layout, style, and animation. Turn slide videos and explainers into multilingual versions and reach a global audience — without recreating visuals from scratch.

👋 Hi Product Hunt! CY here, founder of Vozo.

I’m an ex-Googler researcher who helped build core video technology for Android, Glass, and Photos.

Visual Translate is Vozo’s 3rd launch on Product Hunt — bringing the last missing layer of video translation: the text inside videos. It builds on our previous successful PH launches around AI dubbing, lip-sync, subtitles, and translation quality.

👉 Fully translated videos — finally possible.

With Visual Translate, Vozo can now translate the text inside videos — slides, diagrams, UI labels, and callouts — while keeping the translated text fully editable.

This turns out to be surprisingly tricky: the system has to decide what to translate, what to keep, and how to recreate visuals without breaking layout, style, or animation — but we’ve finally made it work.

We’re starting with slide videos and explainer videos, where much of the information lives directly in the visuals. With this final layer solved, important videos can finally travel across languages instead of being locked inside one.

I trust the output enough that review feels like refinement, not fixing mistakes.

Congrats on the launch, CY & team!

Translating in-video text (slides/UI labels/callouts) feels like the missing layer for real localization

My favorite part is that I can choose what to translate and what not to translate. I just tried it on a video and the results are amazing.

I like the idea of translating the video itself, not adding another layer on top.

We recently used Vozo to translate Geoffrey Hinton’s Royal Institution talk on AI from English into Chinese.

Beyond the dubbing, Visual Translate also translated the text that appears directly inside the video, which makes it much easier for viewers to follow the ideas he’s explaining on screen.

Really interesting feature. Translating the actual text inside videos feels like a missing piece for making content truly multilingual. Keeping the translated text editable also sounds very useful. How does Vozo handle cases where the translated text becomes longer and might break the original layout or design?

i'm a handmade craft creator and i run my own shop on Esty. I've already tried this product and i'm honestly amazed!

i have some videos of myself sculpting clay. before i found this visual translator, i had to manually translate them from Chinese into English. it really took me lot of work. i needed to prepare the translated text myself and then produce a separate English version of video.

Now i can just use this tool to upload my Chinese video and then the Chinese text displayed in the video is automatically translated and be replaced into English. it's incredibly fast and saves me so much time! i'm sure i'll keep using this product!!
