I built it because I was tired of meeting tools that either charged per minute, wanted my audio in their cloud, or could only record one side of an online meeting.
The killer feature: VoxMinutes records system audio AND your microphone at the same time — both sides become searchable text, live, with zero data leaving your device.
Tech stack: Tauri 2 + Rust + Next.js for the desktop app, sherpa-onnx for ASR, llama.cpp for translation & local LLM summaries. Runs on CPU, no GPU needed. Open source under AGPL-3.0.
