This project started because as a businessman, and someone who has had their phone number for 15+ years, I get a lot of unknown numbers calling me. Majority have always been some robocaller or spam caller, but for the 10-20% potentially being real, I can't help but answer every call. But its a distraction every time! I'm in the middle of something, my attention is pulled way, I hear just dead noise or some lie/spam, and I hang up in frustration.
There were solutions out there like call screening services, or apps that just straight up block potential spam, but my phone was still ringing for those robocalls, and people were either getting false-flagged as spam and blocked, or real spammers didn't get flagged because they were new scam numbers not in the spam database yet.
I decided to build something I knew would be valuable to me with nothing else like it on the market.
I've spent the last 8-9 months working on the entire infrastructure getting into the weeds of registering with the FCC, Robocall Mitigation program, registering with a carrier network provider, creating an entire pbx solution from scratch, and all of the hoops in between and after.
To be honest, if I wasn't passionate about this, I would have given up a long time ago... Making everything move from theory to practicality felt impossible many times.
But now, it is done!!!
We have a very strong v1 solution that I'm proud of, and I hope you all will enjoy it, too. We already have some revolutionary ideas to stop spam calls forever and protect us and our loved ones that is not available on the market today, but it will require time.
