Hi Product Hunt! I’m the maker of VolitionDrive.
I built this out of pure frustration. I was tired of paying extreme gas prices, especially on the highway. Navigation apps like Waze and Google Maps show prices, but they don't take into account your car's remaining range, or tell you exactly when it's most profitable to stop.
So, I built a smart algorithm that uses real-time Open Data to route your refueling stops for maximum savings on long road trips, even across borders.
For everyday driving, I also added a 'Beacon Mode'. Think of it as a localised radar: you just set a quick radius (like 5 or 10km), and it instantly scans the area to find the absolute cheapest station around you right now, saving you from settling for the overpriced station down the street.
