I’m Mohamed, a physician, educator, and the maker of VivaCorder.
VivaCorder started from a problem I kept running into while creating educational content: making a good teaching video often means jumping between too many tools — slides or PDFs, notes, a screen recorder, a whiteboard, and sometimes a separate video editor.
I wanted the teaching itself to be the workflow.
So I built VivaCorder: a browser-based teaching studio where you can bring in a PDF, image, video, HTML page, or blank canvas, organize your lesson with structured teaching cards, annotate while you explain, record with your microphone and webcam, and leave with a video you can use wherever you teach.
Privacy was also important to me. Your teaching content and recordings don't need to be uploaded to VivaCorder's servers — the recording workflow stays local to your device.
The idea originally grew out of medical education, but while building it I realized the same problem exists for professors, teachers, tutors, course creators, and anyone who regularly has to explain complex things.
VivaCorder is free to try, with no credit card required.
This is still early, and Product Hunt is one of the first places where I'm opening it up to a broader community.
