Visily is the fastest way for anyone, regardless of design skill, to build beautiful wireframes & prototypes. And with Visily 2.0—our biggest launch yet—teams can collaborate on ideas, send designs right to Figma, start a project from text prompts, & more!
Hey Product Hunters!
I’m Buu, founder of Visily. Visily 2.0 is by far our biggest release and I’m pumped to share this with the world.
⭐ A QUICK PRIMER ON VISILY ⭐
Visily’s aim is to allow anyone to create beautiful wireframes and prototypes of their app UX—quickly and with virtually no learning curve.
We built Visily for those who ever:
😬 Stared at a blank canvas, full of ideas and yet not knowing where to start
😬 Attempted to use a heavy-duty design tool, only to find the learning curve too steep
😬 Annotated screenshots in Powerpoint or Preview (and covered unwanted stuff with boxes!)
If any of those resonate with you, Visily changes the game by letting you:
1️⃣ START DESIGNING FROM DIFFERENT SOURCES OF INSPIRATION: Visily uses AI to help you quickly create UI from an app screenshot, hand-drawn sketch, or more.
2️⃣ LEVERAGE UI PRESETS AND COMPONENTS: We’ve built thousands of UI templates & components, giving you a head start regardless of the type of application you are building.
3️⃣ TWEAK EXISTING APPS: Visily AI transforms UI screenshots into editable designs you can customize and improve.
And it works well—so well, in fact, that Visily counts teams at Microsoft, Amazon, LinkedIn, Walmart, Home Depot, Xero, Dropbox, and more among our satisfied users!
⭐ ENTER VISILY 2.0 ⭐
During conversations with hundreds of founders, product managers, designers, and engineers over the last year, we heard about 2 key challenges they faced when building products:
😱 Designing app UX & UI from the ground up
😱 Working in teams across different tools and workflows
We’ve launched Visily 2.0 to address those issues—here’s how:
🚀 FROM ZERO TO HERO
To help you combat the “blank canvas syndrome,” we’re launching:
➡️ Text to Design AI (alpha): Generate app UX from a simple text prompt! The first batch of invites is now rolling out to users on our waitlist.
➡️ Enhanced Screenshot to Design AI: Screenshot to Design AI is one of Visily’s most powerful features: upload a UI screenshot and Visily will generate a fully editable design. In 2.0, we’ve made big improvements to the output quality and added the ability to convert multiple screenshots at once.
➡️ Design Theme Extractors: We’ve built tools such as “Image to Theme AI” and “URL to Theme AI”, to extract color palettes and fonts from any URL or image and apply them to your design.
➡️ More Components & Templates: We’ve added hundreds of beautifully crafted components & templates, along with an improved search experience to facilitate discoverability.
🚀 WORKING IN TEAMS ACROSS TOOLS & WORKFLOWS
To help teams streamline the process from idea to implementation, Visily expands to cover more phases of the UX development process:
➡️ Wireflow Support: Now there's no need to switch between tools to design flowcharts and wireframes: Visily offers pre-built flowchart shapes, connectors, and sticky notes, allowing you to effortlessly create 'wireflows' that effectively showcase your UX.
➡️ Export to Figma: As teams ideate and iterate on their UX within Visily, they frequently need to transfer their work to a tool such as Figma for final polishing. To facilitate this workflow, we have developed a Figma plugin that enables you to seamlessly send your designs directly into Figma.
➡️ Better Sharing & Design Collaboration: We’ve enhanced the app UX to make it easy for teams to organize workspaces & canvases, invite teammates, manage permissions, and design together in real-time.
We have so much more we’re excited to release in the coming months. Truly 2.0 marks a fresh start in how Visily supports cross-functional product development!
This is very cool and I’m very excited to try Text to Design. What LLM did you guys build on top of? Did you find it difficult to fine-tune for such a diverse set of use cases?
DISRUPTIVE!
Feels like all of the barriers that block non-designers from creating a wireframe have been removed. Because of this tool all of the "I can't do wireframing because..." have suddenly become nonsense 🤭
Congratulations on the launch! You did amazing, team!
This is great! Recommended to our design and marketing teams for putting together wireframes. Congrats!
brillant, first the video is powerful, website design is good but little slow when you scroll, the product proposition is amazing, you deserve to be in top 3 of the day.
Congrats on the new launch! I see so many new features here, a huge leap forward!!
I am currently putting together a course on AI and design for LinkedIn Learning (follow me at https://linkedin.com/in/drewfalkman to hear about it when I release it). I am a long-time hunter and am very picky about what products I write reviews on.
Visily is one of the products I will review, and HAD to include in my course. Why? Because:
- there is an entire suite of AI tools baked in that include content generation, screenshot >> design, polish wireframes, sketch >> design, and theme generation (there are more in the works too!)
- they work! I have used other products that don't work, but this one does. For example, the screenshot to design tool gives you two options: one that will be more broken into clean components, one that is more true to the actual design.
- you can export your designs to not just PNGs and PDFs but to Figma.
In my experience, having gone through dozens of these tools, Visily is one of the best to apply AI to generating design. Definitely recommend for designers looking to save time and menial work.
Congrats, @buunguyen and Visily team. For those who don’t know, Visily’s screenshot to design feature is super impressive, a real time-saver. Just try it 🤯
Nice launch! I just tried it out and was impressed. The feature to convert screenshots to mockups is amazing 🤯
with the team, we use Visily for prototypes, and it's of great help for our teamwork. What I love are the tools it offers for free and the continuous improvement.
Hey, congrats team! I’ve just tested making a few screens, very easy and simple. Keep up the good work! 🙌
