Virelo
Turn local video folders into a private streaming library.
Virelo turns folders of local videos into a streaming-style library without uploading them anywhere. Browse, search, favorite, resume playback, queue a folder, and watch portrait clips in a Shorts-style feed. Use it instantly in your browser or run `npx virelo` to serve a library from your computer across a trusted local network. Free, open source, and built for people who want a polished media experience without a cloud account.
I built Virelo because a folder full of videos should feel easier to use without becoming someone else’s cloud library.
Virelo gives local files a streaming-style interface: search, favorites, watch progress, folder queues, and a Shorts-style feed for portrait clips. Use it in your browser, or run `npx virelo` to serve a library from your own computer.
Privacy is the point: your files stay on your device or trusted local network. I’m here to find the rough edges—if you try it, I’d love to hear what worked, what felt confusing, and what you’d want next.
