Vioscale AI
The evidence layer AI cites when recommending software
Star ratings can be bought. Evidence cannot. Vioscale scores software on real adoption, security and release activity, with a source and date behind every fact. Query it over JSON, GraphQL and MCP. Vendors claim their profile free and can never buy rank. AI is picking your software stack. Vioscale is what it should be reading: software scored on evidence, not reviews, with a source and date on every fact. Free API and MCP for developers. Free profile claim for vendors. Nobody buys rank.
Two years ago I tried to pick a CI tool by reading G2. Every "leader" had paid for placement somewhere in the funnel, the reviews were solicited, and Trustpilot had just removed millions of fake ones. Then I watched an AI assistant confidently recommend software using exactly that data as its source.
That's the problem Vioscale exists for. Buyers don't scroll review sites any more, they ask an assistant. But assistants are being handed the same solicited star-ratings, from sites funded by the vendors they rank.
So Vioscale holds no reviews at all. It scores software on independent signals: real adoption, development activity, security posture, release cadence. Every fact carries its source URL, the date we fetched it, and a confidence band. Every page has a .md twin and a JSON/GraphQL/MCP surface, because the intended reader is a machine.
If you build agents, here's the part that actually matters. Answering "which CI tool should we use" today means 15 to 20 tool calls, roughly a million tokens of scraped pricing pages and changelogs, and an answer you still can't cite. It breaks the week a vendor redesigns their site. Vioscale answers the same question in one call, structured, with a source and date on every value, for a fraction of a cent. On the queries that actually hurt, that's a 300x to 1000x cost difference, before counting the scrapers you don't write or maintain.
You can also re-rank on the fly: ask for "most secure" and the ranking re-orders around security posture on the same evidence, or "most adopted" and it re-orders again. No review site can do that, because a star rating is a single number with nothing inside it. Free key, 200 calls a month, no card.
If you make software: this is where your product gets described when an AI answers a buying question. We probably already index and score it. If we don't, submit it and we will. Claiming your profile is free, submitting is free, correcting a wrong fact is free, and all of it stays free. What you cannot do, at any price, is move your rank. Vendors get control of their own representation and nothing else, and I'd rather say that plainly than sell you a "featured placement" like everyone else does.
We're going deep on developer tooling first rather than spreading thin across every software category, and the index grows continuously.
One capability I'm proud of: it knows when it doesn't know. If the evidence in a category isn't strong enough to call a winner, it says so and lists alphabetically instead of inventing an order. A ranking you can trust has to be able to decline.
I'd genuinely like your feedback. Look up a product you know better than anyone, tell me whether we've described it correctly, and tell me what you'd want from an index your AI is going to quote. I'm reading every comment today.

Who hunted Vioscale AI?
Vioscale AI was hunted by Pranjal Agarwal. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
