Vinage is your personal AI sommelier — always in your pocket. Scan any wine label with your camera and instantly get food pairing advice, tasting notes, and cellar management tools. Works for wines other apps don't recognise. Build your collection, share your cellar with a partner, and switch between 6 languages. Free to start, no credit card needed. Perfect for casual wine lovers and serious collectors alike.
Hey hunters! 👋 I built Vinage because the existing apps don't give me what I'm after: - All the wines I scan, even small brands - Where my wines are (rack/box/...) - When the moment is to drink them, making sure they aren't over their peak - How to combine the wines with the food I'm planning to eat and why - How long I should let a bottle of red wine 'breathe' before drinking
Most wine apps rely on a fixed database. If the wine isn't in it, the app fails. Vinage takes a different approach — it uses Claude (Anthropic's AI) to read the label directly, the way a person would. That means it works on pretty much any bottle, not just the famous ones.
All things that weren't captured together in one other app, I have now in Vinage, driven by AI. In this process, I added more features that (I think) are cool, but it started with key features and the ability to find all wines + details.
I also added household sharing, because wine is rarely a solo hobby. One subscription covers your whole household — your partner gets full access to the same cellar. Another thing I cannot easily do in 'the other app'.
It's a PWA, so no app store, no installation — just open vinage.app and it works on your phone, tablet or laptop.
Would love to hear what wine lovers think. Happy to answer any questions! 🍷

Vinage was hunted by Arnold Ruijter. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
