I’m Christy, co-founder of VillageFor. I built this after going through a traumatic birth, a NICU stay, and navigating postpartum depression and anxiety during one of the most physically and emotionally exhausting times of my life. I was healing from birth, severely sleep deprived, and trying to figure out how to get help, but I couldn’t find the support or resources I actually needed in those moments. Everything felt fragmented, hard to access, or too surface-level for what I was going through. And the reality is this isn’t rare. Suicide is the leading cause of death in the postpartum period, and 1 in 5 women will experience a maternal mental health disorder. Yet meaningful support is still incredibly difficult to access, especially across the full journey of motherhood. That’s why I built VillageFor. VillageFor is a mental health support app for moms, designed to support you through trying to conceive, loss, NICU, pregnancy, postpartum, and every stage of motherhood. We’re building VillageFor to offer: Access to trusted resources and specialists you can actually connect with Personalized insights into your mental health through clinical assessment tracking Real, honest conversations about what motherhood actually feels like Our goal is to make support more accessible, more personalized, and actually useful in the moments moms need it most. We’re building this alongside moms, with the belief that no one should have to navigate this alone.
