Students juggle spreadsheets, websites, NotionAI copy-paste, and email just to stay organized. Vidhya unifies this into one AI-native workspace that doesn't just track applications, it executes them. Application tracking is paired with a context-aware AI that treats your whole journey as one connected stream. Drafts get pushed straight into Gmail, ready to send. While most tools serve one region, Vidhya handles deadlines and criteria across countries at once.
When I first started planning my university applications, I realized pretty quickly how draining the whole process is. I remember looking into hiring an admissions consultant, but the prices they were quoting were just insane, thousands of dollars just to have someone guide me through a basic search. It obviously wasn't an option for my family, so I had to figure everything out completely alone.Honestly, my life for months became an absolute nightmare of manual organization. I’d have forty browser tabs open at 2 AM, constantly crashing my laptop while trying to compare admission requirements, finding professor pages, deadline, fees comparison.
It was this chaotic web of Notion pages, Google Sheets, calendar reminders, and desktop sticky notes just to track deadlines and application fees, all while never truly knowing if the university or course was even a right fit for me. The volume of work literally broke me at one point. The data isn't locked; it’s just scattered which creates total helplessness and chaos for people who can't afford to pay their way out of it.
But fast forward to now, I’m currently getting my Master's degree in Chicago, and during this summer break, I kept looking back at the exact same problem that haunted me for eight freaking months. I finally decided to just build something to level the playing field for anyone who wants a centralized platform to plan, manage, and organize their application.
I call it Vidhya. It’s an AI-native workspace designed to take a student from their very first university search all the way to a signed offer letter, completely skipping the manual grind and that $5,000 consultant price tag.
I built it so the AI advisor actually browses live university sites in real time to pull admission requirements, deadlines, and active professor research profiles, none of that stale, cached data. And it's fully platform-aware, meaning it isn't just a generic chatbot. It actually remembers you, your profile, your chat, and your active applications. Instead of giving vague advice, it will literally tell you, "Hey, since you have a 3.8 GPA and did an internship at XYZ Company, you have a solid chance of getting into this specific program."
I also added an autofill extension so you only save your profile once, and you never have to manually type the exact same information into twelve different university portals again. Plus, it replaces messy spreadsheets with a clean Kanban workflow and automated checklists, drafts personalized cold emails to professors using their actual research so you can lock down funding early, and uses a hyper-targeted scholarship finder to automatically match your profile against university and government databases for funding you actually qualify for.
I just opened up the platform because researching and planning should be free, and no student should have to struggle through fifty tabs just to figure out their future. I'd love to get your raw feedback on it. If you or anyone you know is currently in the trenches of applying this cycle, drop a comment or DM me and I'll get you set up.
Finally tried this and the cross-country deadline tracking alone is worth it. I was managing two apps in different systems and Vidhya just surfaced the conflicting dates without me setting anything up.
How does the AI actually draft those application emails, does it pull from my past essays or just the specific program details I add?
