Videorc
Open source studio to record and go live everywhere at once.
Most capture tools are either too basic or too complex. Videorc is the third option: pick a scene, hit record, go live. Stream to YouTube, Twitch, Kick, X, TikTok, Instagram, or any RTMP server at once for free, while recording locally in up to 4K. Built with Rust and Electron, open source under AGPL-3.0. Pro adds live captions and Orcle, an AI that drafts chat replies and flags abuse but never posts on its own. macOS beta (Apple Silicon), Windows 11 alpha.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I'm excited to hunt Videorc, an open-source recording and streaming studio built by TheOrcDev and Jay (radiumcoders).
What caught my eye: most capture tools force a choice between simple apps that hit a wall fast and powerful ones that need a tutorial before your first recording. Videorc goes for a third option: pick a scene, hit record, go live.
What you get for free:
• Record your screen, camera, and mic locally in up to 4K
• Multistream to YouTube, Twitch, Kick, X, TikTok, Instagram, or any RTMP server at the same time
• Scene layouts (screen + cam, side-by-side, camera only) and live chat in one place
For the devs here: the core is written in Rust (capture, compositing, encoding) with an Electron + React shell on top, and the whole app is open source under AGPL-3.0. Nearly 2,000 commits in, and it's moving fast.
Pro is optional and funds the project: live captions (~1s latency), 4K streaming, and Orcle, an AI sidekick that drafts chat replies and flags spam and abuse. Orcle never posts on its own, so the streamer stays in control.
Heads-up: macOS (Apple Silicon) is in beta and Windows 11 is in alpha, so expect a few rough edges.
Questions for you:
1. Which platforms do you stream to, and what's missing?
2. What's the most annoying part of your current recording setup?
The makers will be around to answer questions. Give it a try and let them know what you think! 🧡
Looks great. What happens to the local recording if the app crashes a few hours into a stream, is the file still usable?
This is low key an insane product. Very cool achievement. I'd use this if I were streaming. Maybe I should start :D

Videorc was hunted by Frank Ramos. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
