I’m launching VGLOT for people who use YouTube to learn, research, or explore content in another language.
VGLOT puts the original speech and translation together in a transcript panel. After the full video has been processed, the transcript follows playback as you pause, seek, or change speed.
You can read both languages together, click timestamps to revisit useful moments, customize the reading experience, and keep transcripts in your private Library—even for videos without existing subtitles.
To start, install the Chrome extension, connect with Google, choose your source and target languages, and press Start on a public YouTube video.
Processing happens before captions appear. The extension requires a paid subscription: Standard is $9.99/month for 400 processing minutes; Premium is $24.99/month for 1,000. New jobs use the full video duration. Shorts, livestreams, and private videos aren’t supported.
