The idea for Vesqa came from a simple frustration: homeowners have no idea what a repair should cost before a contractor walks through the door. That information gap is exactly how people get overcharged.
So I built Vesqa: snap a photo of the damage, get an AI-powered cost estimate with labor and materials breakdown, contractor red flags to watch for, and negotiation scripts you can actually use.
A few things I’m especially proud of:
• The BS Detector — vetting questions to ask any contractor before signing anything
• Negotiation Leverage — tells you exactly what to say if a quote seems too high
• A two-section PDF report separating AI estimates from your own verified completion record
Currently built for the US market — estimates are calibrated to local labor rates by zip code, so the numbers are actually meaningful.
