I never actually used an invoicing tool before building this.
When I started freelancing, I looked up my options — FreshBooks, QuickBooks, Wave — and the first thing I hit was a paywall. $10, $15, $30 a month just to send an invoice. For someone just starting out, that cost more than some of my early projects.
So I just avoided invoicing properly altogether. Clients got payment requests over WhatsApp. It wasn't professional, but it was free.
That gap is what I built Velvio Flow for. The full stack — invoices, quotes, receipts, PDF generation, email delivery, payment links — for $0.99/user a month. Less than a cup of coffee, no enterprise pricing, no feature gating.
