I'm a solo developer and VelNotes is the iPad notes app I always
wanted but never found. Apple Pencil works smoothly, but the part
I'm most proud of is "Time Travel" — every stroke is replayed
exactly as you wrote it, like a screen recording you didn't need
to start.
Other things I built in (because I needed them myself):
• Quick Text — full-screen text drafts that become shareable notebooks
• Voice recording with on-device transcription
• Video-to-text (drop in any local mp4/mov)
• Lasso, multiple paper types, optional Pro cloud sync
Free tier covers daily use. Pro adds Firebase sync for notebooks
you own + a higher shared-notebook ceiling.
