Comment highlights

Hi Product Hunt 👋

VaultChat started as an idea, not as a coding project.

I couldn't write code, read code, or build apps myself. What I had was a problem I wanted to solve: private communication without phone numbers, emails, accounts, or central servers.

Using AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude, and many months of testing, learning, failing, rebuilding, and testing again, VaultChat slowly became real.

Today it's a fully working encrypted messenger built on Nostr:
• No phone number
• No email
• No central server
• End-to-end encrypted
• Open source

I'd genuinely love your feedback, especially on privacy, usability, and what you'd like to see next.

Thank you for checking it out 🚀

Who hunted VaultChat?

VaultChat was hunted by VaultChat. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
