Varchive is a showcase of apps, websites, and experimental projects built with AI assistance, from passion projects to enterprise-grade apps. Varchive itself is built and maintained with assistance from Cursor and Codex. We've populated the archive with a few real-world apps—now it's time to submit yours.
Hey Product Hunters 👋 I'm Cameron Moll, co-maker of Varchive.
Varchive (‘vibe’ + ‘archive’) is built and maintained by yours truly and Adam Spooner with heavy assistance from Cursor and Codex, a healthy dose of ChatGPT and Perplexity for content summaries, and a dash of Unicorn Studio for WebGL background effects.
Cloudflare, Resend, and Vercel provide key parts of Varchive’s infrastructure.
We’ve spent a few hundred hours (yes, that many!) prompting and refining what Cursor has written, yet flaws remain. Rather than trying to eliminate these entirely we offer Varchive as a model of what signficant AI assistance can and cannot do.
We’re extremely proud of the end result. Lots of learnings along the way to say the least. We hope you’ll find inspiration on Varchive, and we especially hope you’ll submit your AI-assisted work.
Wow, Varchive is super cool! Love the idea of a curated AI-assisted build gallery. How are you planning to handle version control as projects evolve and AI tools improve?
Very cool to see a showcase built with Cursor and Codex showcasing apps built the same way. What kind of submissions are you most excited to see next — indie hacks, open-source tools, or enterprise use cases?
Very cool! We are currently building our own AI travel app and will soon be making an AI e-commerce app.
when you say "heavy assistance from Cursor and Codex" is it like team from cursor helped you build this like some partenership or you just used Cursor's and Codex's paid services and created this app through vibe coading? good concept though
Congrats on the launch! It’s refreshing to see a project that openly shows both the strengths and limits of AI-assisted creation.
Large language models have been advancing really fast in coding and software development lately, and a lot of companies are already using AI in their workflows. This is a great idea—it helps people understand the limits of what AI can do, instead of using it blindly.
Hopefully I won’t end up spending those 100+ hours you mentioned debugging my code with you 😄
This could set a new standard for private AI assistants freedom and privacy without compromising performance.
Great idea! A nice place for curated AI inspiration, and nicely built! Like @chrismessina said, a Dribbble version of AI showcase project library!
Great inspiration for those who still doubt if the need a CS degree to start building their dream project!
