Madhav and Vaibhav here, the two people who built Vaaad AI.
We started out building with Retell and Vapi. The tech worked but
the economics did not. High per minute costs, hidden platform fees
stacked on top, and 5 to 7 seconds of silence before the AI
responded. Long enough for callers to hang up. We saw hundreds of
developers on Reddit hitting the exact same wall.
So we stopped using third party wrappers and built our own
infrastructure from scratch.
That gave us 0.6 to 1 second response latency, Rs 4 per minute
flat pricing, and proper support for Indian languages including
Hinglish, which is how most Indian business calls actually sound.
We are fully bootstrapped. No investors, no board. That is what
lets us keep the pricing honest and pass none of the overhead
to you.
