Hi Product Hunt! I built V U This for a very ordinary frustration: getting something useful onto the room screen shouldn't begin with finding the right cable, installing a casting app, or putting your whole phone on display.
The idea is simple. Open vuthis.com in the screen's browser, scan the QR code with your phone, and the phone becomes the remote. From there you can put up a PDF, chosen photos, large text, an announcement, a clock, a timer, a counter or a QR code.
A few details I cared about:
- Nothing is installed on the screen or the phone.
- The room only sees what you explicitly choose to show, not notifications, tabs or the rest of your phone.
- The free session works without creating an account.
- It is meant to work equally well in a meeting room, classroom, shop, event space or at home.
I'd especially value feedback on two things: which use case feels immediately useful to you, and whether the open, scan, show flow is obvious the first time you try it.
