The idea for Uttar came from repeatedly seeing small service businesses spend hours answering the same questions over and over again:
What are your prices?
Are you open on weekends?
Do you offer this service?
How do I book?
Is this available?
The existing options didn't feel right for growing businesses.
On one side were powerful customer support platforms with pricing and feature sets designed for much larger teams. On the other side were free live chat tools, but those still required someone to be available to answer every message manually.
That meant business owners were often interrupted by repetitive enquiries throughout the day, teams lost time on conversations that followed the same pattern, and customers sometimes waited too long for answers or never received a follow-up at all.
I wasn't trying to build another AI chatbot that pretends to know everything.
I wanted to build something much narrower and more reliable:
A 24/7 Front Desk for business websites that handles repetitive enquiries using only information the business has reviewed and approved.
No hallucinations.
No improvisation.
No human operator required for routine questions.
Just fewer interruptions for the business and faster answers for visitors.
This is still very early, and I'm currently looking for the first few businesses willing to try Uttar on a real website and tell me honestly where it helps, where it doesn't, and where it breaks.

Finally tried this on my yoga studio site and the answered questions feature is solid, no awkward made up responses when something is outside scope.
Took it for a spin on a friend's small clinic site and the answered exactly what was on the services page without making anything up. Love that it flags questions it can't handle instead of winging it.
How does it actually pull in the approved info, is it scraping my site or do I have to feed it manually, and does that setup take long?
