Utilhex is a free collection of everyday utilities for PDFs, images, text, data, and developers - merge or split PDFs, compress photos, format JSON, diff files, generate QR codes, and more. There are 38 tools today, no account, and no paywall. What we cared about most at launch: your files stay on your device. Processing runs in the browser, often in Web Workers, so documents and pasted text are not uploaded to our servers for those tools.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I'm a software engineer building Utilhex as a side project.
I kept running into small everyday tasks that required opening different websites - merging a PDF, compressing an image, formatting JSON, or comparing two files. I wanted one simple place for these utilities, without accounts or paywalls.
Privacy was another priority. Wherever possible, processing happens directly in the browser, so files don't need to be uploaded to a server.
Utilhex now has 38 tools, and I'm still improving it. I'd love for you to try one and tell me what feels useful, what could be better, and which tool you'd like to see next.
Thanks for checking it out! 🙌

Utilhex was hunted by Vivek Sharma. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
