I'm Hanii — solo founder, building out of Canterbury, UK.
I built Ustaad because I kept watching friends and students get stuck on the same thing: they weren't stuck on the concept, they were stuck on the interface. A cryptic Xcode error. A Final Cut timeline glitch. An Apple Developer submission flow. An SPSS output nobody could read. A past paper with a diagram that needed explaining.
Generic chatbots couldn't help — you'd have to describe what's on your screen, screenshot it, paste the error, hope the model guessed right. Ustaad flips that: it sees your screen live, you just talk to it.
How it works: Hold Ctrl + Option, speak your question, let go. Ustaad takes a single screenshot, understands what you're looking at, and tells you exactly what to do — and flies a blue cursor to the specific button, line, or field it means. No typing, no window-switching.
Two modes, one shortcut:
🛠 General Mode — live walkthroughs for Xcode, Final Cut, SPSS, Premiere, government portals, spreadsheets, emails, debugging. Paste an error, it auto-reads your clipboard.
🎓 Tutor Mode — expert exam coach that knows AQA, Edexcel, CIE, IB, SAT, O-Level, Matric. Answers in your board's mark-scheme style, not generic AI waffle.
Privacy is structural, not a setting:
– Password managers (1Password, Bitwarden, Keychain) are auto-excluded from every screenshot
– macOS System Settings is blocked from capture
– Screenshots live in memory for one question, then discarded — never written to disk
– Audio-only mode skips the screen entirely
Ask in any language — Urdu, Arabic, French, Mandarin, Hindi, Bengali, Spanish, and more. This was important to me: a student in Lahore or a developer in Cairo shouldn't have to switch to English to get help.
